of the proposed Fellow. The salary level is to be negotiated between Fellow
and host organization.
The organization may choose to supplement the grant with its own monies
if it should prove necessary to secure a Fellow with the education and
skills necessary to meet the organization's needs and strategic goals.
The organization may wish to view the New Voices grant as "startup
capital" or "seed money" to establish a new permanent position.
Fringe Benefits:
The fringe request may include health insurance, vision/dental
insurance, employer contributions for FICA, State Unemployment Insurance,
Disability Insurance, employer's 403b/401k contribution; however, the request
should be itemized and should reflect fringe benefits provided to all full-time
employees of the organization or those required by law. The Fellow should be entered into
payroll and not be designated a contract employee. Federal, state, and local income taxes
are the responsibility of the Fellow.
